The Centre for Life Management is a partnership based at Hillcrest, 172 Long Street, Dordon Tamworth B78 1QA. Unless the circumstances of use indicate otherwise a reference in these terms of use to “we”, “us” or “our” is a reference to the Centre for Life Management and a reference to “you” is to you, an individual who has contacted us, enquired about or used one or more of our services, or is on our mailing list or has used one of our websites. 

We have developed this privacy policy as the privacy and security of your personal information is an important issue to you and to us and we are committed to protecting your privacy in your contact with us.

We process your personal data in accordance with the DPA 1998 and the GDPR 2018.  

We collect personal information from you when you communicate with us using any media or in person, or when you utilise one of our services or attend one of our activities. We may also collect personal data which relates to you from third parties, for example another website which has your name and email address on it.

We can only undertake such processing with your consent. You may withdraw your consent to our processing your personal data for some of the above purposes by emailing us or writing to the address set out below. You can also request information on what data we hold on you and request it be amended if it is inaccurate. Our newsletter and event information may be sent out by a third party – e.g. mailchimp – and on this you will have the option to unsubscribe / manage your subscription preferences.

We may continue to process your personal data after you have ceased to receive a service from us or after you have provided information to us or we have sent you any information you have requested.

Sensitive Personal Information: certain more detailed personal information is described by the DPA as “sensitive personal data”. We may hold such information about you particularly if you have utilised one of our pastoral, counselling or ministry services. We may retain this information for a period of time in line with good practice and to ensure that any pastoral, ministry, counselling service or journey is well informed, of good quality and documented, and so that we are able to answer any questions you might have about the services you have received.

Data protection 

As a Retreat centre, also providing training, pastoral and ministry services we utilise a variety of methods to keep people informed about our work. We may use data collected to keep you up to date about news, events and services here and also how you can be involved in our work and ministry.

All information you provide is stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act and GDPR.  We do not pass personal information on to third parties for commercial use.
