Hillcrest, Dordon

For much of the 20th century Hillcrest was a smallholding in the north Warwickshire village in Dordon. More recently it was beautifully restored by a professional builder over several years before we arrived, and since adapted to serve our life, vision and visitors.  There are several buildings around the main house, including a meeting room, chapel, craft room/library, lounge and conservatory. They provide a warm environment and an excellent and flexible context for a variety of activities. Outside the small lake forms a beautiful hub.

Whether you come for a workshop, group retreat, an individual time, ministry or just to visit and be here you will find different rooms, buildings and outdoor spaces where you can find space for quite reflection, conversation, creativity or inspiration.
From Hillcrest we look out (and you can walk) over glorious Warwickshire countryside. We are in the village with corner shops and the Post Office are only a few minutes walk away.  Junction 10 of the M42 is a five minutes drive away, so access to us is easy from all over the country via the motorway network.

Our desire is that Hillcrest increasingly becomes a place where people can stop and hear God in the midst of a busy life in a noisy world. Finding it to be a place of stillness in the midst of life, they, like the psalmist, in “being still and knowing that the I AM is God”, will also know that He is with them and is the stronghold of their life. Ps 46 vs 10,11.

Our belief is that this is a place where the veil between heaven and earth is thin and the presence of God can be tangible so we want this to be a place where you can visit and then leave more aware of how much you are loved by God, with stronger faith that He is with you and better equipped to follow the call of God on your life.We believe Jesus has and is the answers to all our many and various needs and longings. We want this to be increasingly true for all who come here. Our desire is that this is a place of encounter with the living God.

Whilst people continue to come here for ministry, increasingly we are loving this being a place where we enjoy worshipping the Lord for His own sake, and sharing with each other, and anyone who wants to join us in fellowship, prayer and fun, as we work and worship with gratitude, – sharing in life and in our Journey with God. You could even describe us as a missional community.
